Hello, I am reaching out to let everyone know that I have assigned a Moon Phases project to all 5th grade students. Students are required to have the Sun, Earth, and Moon on their projects with the moon phases in the correct order. I have attached the “Moon Phases Project” paper I sent home last Wednesday, February 12th to this email. Students are required to have the project completed and turned in at school by Wednesday, March 5th. Students can choose whatever medium of choice to complete the assignment. I have created a Module on Canvas of everything students might need for information on the project. To find this module, students will need to click on the Science course on Canvas. Students will then need to click on Modules at the top of the page under the page banner. Students will scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the module named “Moon Phases Project.” In this module you can find the assignment paper that was sent home, the examples, and the layout of the moon phases in an organizer. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel to reach out. Thank you. Faith Ball.

"A project instruction sheet titled 'Moon Phases Project' with an image of a crescent moon at the top. The document outlines the goal of the project, which is for students to learn about the eight phases of the moon and predict its cycle. It includes a list of learning objectives, instructions for recreating the moon phases using any medium, and specific project requirements. The due date is highlighted in yellow as 'Wednesday, March 5, 2025.' A grading rubric is provided, detailing points for completion, accuracy, inclusion of the Sun and Earth, and creativity. The document also mentions that students can find example pictures on Canvas or search for ideas online."
We hope you enjoy our second episode of the Haynesfield Hurricane. It would be a great listen if you are traveling for Spring Break or while you are Spring cleaning (like me). https://open.spotify.com/episode/5so9lkM7Yzizkkyj6DhUph?si=YnZPEtCVQvarMuy7dB9Smw

At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, during a planned drill for one of our schools, our alert system Centegix was accidentally triggered for all schools to be placed into a lockdown. This was in error, and the lockdowns were quickly cleared. As always, we are thankful for the immediate response of the Bristol Tennessee Police Department. We apologize for the disruption.
