On May 19th, Haynesfield had its very first Awards Day celebration. Students in 1st-4th were recognized for their academic achievements in each grade: outstanding ELA and Math students, most AIMSWeb growth in ELA and Math, honor roll, perfect attendance, hardest worker in tutoring, and hardest worker in their Special Area classrooms. Students were also recognized for exhibiting the CANE CODES characteristics- Courteous, Aware, Neighborly, Engaged, and Serving. Students in 3rd and 4th were also recognized for outstanding work in science and social studies.
On May 20th, we celebrated our 5th graders' achievements and said our final goodbyes. Their graduation ceremony included recognition in the areas already listed, but we also acknowledged the Safety Patrols, the Physical Fitness Rewards, and the Austin Arnold Citizenship Award, which went to Carson Case and Olivia Vance. These two days were a fabulous way to end the 25-26 school year, and we look forward to next year's celebrations!
