Fourth and Fifth graders recently performed a heartfelt tribute to our military veterans with a special informance. This event showcased the musical talents of our young students as they performed patriotic songs that honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Students sang, danced, played instruments, and provided background knowledge on the songs they entertained. Also during the performance, the students honored the veterans in the audience with small American flags. It was a rousing, crowd-pleasing performance!
Along with the Veteran's Day informance, the students displayed some of their artwork in the cafeteria. Fifth-grade students had been working on creating foil figurines and drawing from a one-point perspective. Fourth-grade students created dragon eyes; one with clay and the other on paper. It was evident to the guests that the students had worked diligently on their projects.
