A Message From The Principal!

Tanika Hardin's head shot
We believe at Haynesfield that with our dedication to high quality, research-based best practices every student will learn to full potential. I ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school every day, encouraging him/her to read for pleasure at least 30 minutes every night, monitoring homework and progress, and asking your child to share what they learned at school each day. Finally, we urge you to become involved at Haynesfield! Support from our parents is vital to the success of our school.  I strongly encourage you to be involved in your child’s education by joining the PTA and volunteering at our school. Together, we can ensure your child is successful.

Communication is important to us! We send out a weekly SMORE newsletter via email.  We send home information about events each week in student Take Home Tuesday Folders. From time to time we must send home important information with students outside the Tuesday Folder, so it is a good idea to check backpacks daily. Other places for news and information include Canvas, the school website, Facebook, Twitter, and automated or personal phone calls, emails, and texts to all parents, so it is important we have current phone numbers and email addresses.

My door is always open to you as I want to be a resource to your family. I  encourage you to contact your child’s teacher if you have questions about classroom expectations, homework, or any aspect of your child’s day.  I hope that Haynesfield Elementary exceeds your expectations this year!
